The trio Gilis (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno) are the most popular islands in Lombok. Gili means small islands, which refer to the Sasak language, the mother tongue of Lombok People. It is located in the northwest of Lombok. There are more than 50 Gili or small islands around Lombok, but nowadays, the Gili Islands refer to these of the three Gili islands.

Gili Trawangan is the largest island comparing to the other two of Gili Air and Gili Meno. It is also the most developed area and also known as the liveliest area. You will find the parties which held at night effortlessly when staying on this island.

Gili Meno is the smallest and quietest. It is located between the two other islands. Many people say that this island is suitable for the couple who wants a romantic atmosphere in Gili.

Gili Air is the perfect combination between the two islands. Among the three amazing Gili Islands, it is the smallest. Gili Air has similar facilities to Gili Trawangan, but less quiet. It offers a calm retreat that will ease your mind during the visit.

No vehicle is allowed to enter the Gili Islands. The only one transportation is ‘Cidomo”, a small horse pulls the carriage.
