Itenerary
Selamat datang! Welcome to Jakarta. After your arrival at the international airport, you will be picked up by our driver and taken to the airport hotel in Jakarta. Relax and prepare for the next few days in the jungle. Depending on your arrival time, you can optionally explore the metropolis Jakarta on a small city tour with your driver.
Note: A direct onward flight from Jakarta to Kalimantan is not possible on the same day.

In the morning you will be transferred to Jakarta Airport for your flight to Pangkalanbun.
Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun airport, meeting service with our tour guide then direct transfer to Kumai, Onboard, crossing Kumai river in approximately 15-30 minutes to reach Sekonyer river, then cruise up Sekonyer river to reach National Park. Lunch will be served on board by our cook. At the afternoon, we continue our tour to observe Proboscis monkeys along the riverbanks. Proboscis monkeys are an endemic monkey that can be seen only in Borneo. Dinner and Overnight on the boat.

After breakfast, boating up to reach Pondok Tanggui, the second rehabilitation center for the orangutan. Visit the Orangutan feeding in the morning. Then return to the houseboat and continue boating up to Camp Leakey. Camp Leakey is the highlight of National Park. You will be passing by the black river which is full of wildlife within such as many kinds of birds, primates, fish, also crocodiles. Our cook will serve lunch with various outstanding food. On arrival in Camp Leakey, you will visit IC (Information Center) to see all work of DR. Birute Galdikas while she studies the orangutan here start from 1971 until today. Enjoy your time until afternoon, trekking up into the forest to see orangutan feeding, afterwards back to the boat and boating down direct to the Nipa Palm area to see a thousand fireflies. Dinner and overnight on the boat.

After breakfast, your driver will take you from the boat to the airport, where your journey continues to the island of Java.
Upon arrival in Semarang, you will be picked up from the airport and driven to your hotel in Yogyakarta, where you can relax for the afternoon. From the airport to Yogyakarta takes around 3 hours and offers a great view of the volcanoes of Central Java.

After breakfast at the hotel, your driver will pick you up at the hotel for a short city tour. First, your driver will take you to the Beringharjo market. In addition to food, clothing, jewelry and kitchen accessories are also offered. Continue to Tamansari Water Castle.
Then it goes on to Kampung Tirtodipuran. Kampung Tirtodipuran is the center for batik, a traditional Indonesian textile dyeing process in which the pattern is covered with liquid wax, which keeps the original color of the fabric during the subsequent dyeing. Then Kota Gede, the then capital of the Mataram Kingdom, beckons. Javanese, Hindu and Islamic architectural styles reflect the splendor of the former kingdom.
Afterwards, your driver will take you to Prambanan Temple, one of the largest Hindu temples in Southeast Asia, which was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991. After your temple visit, your driver will take you back to your hotel.

Yogyakarta is the capital of the “Special Region Yogyakarta” and served as the Indonesian capital from 1946 to 1948 during the Indonesian national revolution. Yogyakarta is the only city in Indonesia that is still (officially) ruled by a monarchy. Yogyakarta is an important center of classical Javanese art and culture such as ballet, batik textiles, theater, literature, music, poetry, silversmithing, fine arts and wayang puppetry. Yogyakarta is also known as the center of Indonesian education and is home to the largest and most prestigious universities in the country.

This morning in the pre-dawn hours, you’ll head out with your guide to be at famed Borobudur at sunrise. Not only is the mist and lighting at dawn serene, but it is also a special time to explore this ancient site before masses of tourists arrive later in the day. Borobudur predates Angkor Wat by 300 years and Notre Dame by 200 years. “Discovered” in 1815, it has been excavated and returned to its original glory.
Afterward go to the village of Sentolo, located at the south of Yogyakarta. Upon arrival, cycle through the surrounding villages and rice fields. In Sentolo you will learn about the production of tempeh (fermented soybeans), traditional weaving and everyday life in a Javanese village. Finally, enjoy a traditional Indonesian lunch before your driver drops you back to the hotel.

After breakfast, our driver will take you to the train station in Yogyakarta. From there, take a train through the scenic Java landscape to Mojokerto, East Java. Upon arrival, our driver will take you to your hotel near Mount Bromo. It takes about 4 hours to get there. In the afternoon you can relax in your hotel.

Early in the morning you drive by jeep to the approx. 2700 meter high Penanjakan viewpoint. From there you have a fantastic view of Bromo and Semeru. After the unforgettable sunrise it goes to the Bromo crater, where you climb an approx. 250 step staircase to the crater rim to explore the Bromo crater. Then it goes back to your hotel for breakfast before continuing by car towards Ijen. The drive to Ijen takes 5-6 hours and takes you past numerous tobacco, cocoa and coffee plantations. After arriving at your hotel, relax for the afternoon.

Your driver will pick you up at the hotel shortly after midnight and take you to the Ijen volcano. On a 1 ½ – 2 hour hike to the crater of the Ijen you can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding area of the Ijen volcano. After arriving at the crater rim, your guide will take you down a little into the crater where you can admire the famous blue flames at the edge of the sulphurous lake. Then it goes back up to the crater rim, where you will experience a beautiful sunrise.
After this experience, head back to your hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon you continue to the port of Ketapang, from where you take a ferry to Pemuteran in Bali.

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast and checkout, your driver will take you to Ubud. On the way it goes first towards the Banyumala waterfall. The descent from the parking lot takes around 20 minutes. When you arrive at the waterfall, you can enjoy the beautiful nature or cool off in the fresh mountain water. Your next destination is the Jatiluwih rice terraces. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is a kind of tangible museum that shows the traditional agriculture of Bali. Through intelligent land use and traditional irrigation systems, the local farmers have created picture book-like rice terraces on the steep slopes. Then visit the Taman Ayun Royal Temple, one of the most beautiful and impressive temples in Bali, known for its multi-storey roofs. After the temple visit, your driver will take you to your hotel in Ubud.

Ubud is the cultural hub of Bali in many ways. You can take a walking tour to visit the majestic palace in central Ubud. The communities around Ubud specialize in handicrafts and wood carvings, which are sold across the island. There are hundreds of shops in Ubud selling antiques, wood carvings, handicrafts, textiles, paintings, and jewelry. You can also find some of the best art museums in the country here. Enjoy the sunset while strolling the “Campuhan Ridge Walk”.

After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel and headed to East Bali towards the Batur volcano. On the way, you drive through the beautiful rice terraces and to a coffee plantation. After arriving in Kintamani with a view of the Batur volcano, the Balinese twins Wayan and Ketut Kembar will take you on a bike tour through the exotic jungle, rice fields, small temples and traditional villages. On the way you can taste local fruits straight from the tree and stop at a small waterfall. At the end of the tour, head to the twins’ family home for a delicious Balinese lunch.

After breakfast, your driver will take you to the Monkey Forrest, where you can watch the cheeky monkeys play in the trees. Take care of your valuables, the monkeys are very smart and know exactly how to open a backpack! Then you will go on a spiritual temple tour that we offer together with a local institution that works for disadvantaged children. First you create a “canang”, a traditional offering, which you then take to the temple to ask the gods for permission to enter the temple. Then it goes through beautiful rice fields and plantations to the rock temple Gunung Kawi. This is followed by the Tirta Empul water temple, where you can “purify” yourself in the holy water. You will then drive to our partner institution for a traditional lunch and get to know the children of the institution. Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel in Sanur.

After breakfast you will be picked up by our driver and you will go straight to the harbor in Labuan Bajo, where begin your 2-day boat adventure through the national park.
First, you go to the islands of Bidadari and Kelor, where you can swim and snorkel on the beach or explore the island on a short hike. Then lunch on the boat and continue to Menjerite Island, one of the most beautiful snorkeling spots in the national park.
Enjoy your dinner on board and spend the night on the sailing ship in front of the Flying Fox Island, where you can watch hundreds of bats at sunset.

After a sailor’s breakfast we go to the island of Rinca. With a guide from the national park, you will go in search of the famous Komodo dragons, which you can observe here in their natural environment. After the kite tour on Rinca you continue to Padar Island, where you will reach the most beautiful viewpoint above the national park after an easy hike. In the afternoon it goes back to Labuan Bajo with a stop at “Pink Beach”. Upon arrival at the port, your driver will take you to your hotel.
