After breakfast, your driver will take you to the main attractions in Ubud. First it’s on to the Monkey Forrest, where you can watch the cheeky monkeys play in the trees. Take care of your valuables, the monkeys are very smart and know exactly how to open a backpack! Then you will visit the Goa Gaja Temple which is also known as the Cave Temple. Then go to the rock temple Gunung Kawi. The way here leads you through beautiful rice fields and plantations. After the rock temple, continue to the Tirta Empul water temple, where the Hindus “purify” themselves in the holy water. You will then be driven back to your hotel.

Ubud is the cultural hub of Bali in many ways. You can take a walking tour to visit the majestic palace in central Ubud. The communities around Ubud specialize in handicrafts and wood carvings, which are sold across the island. There are hundreds of shops in Ubud selling antiques, wood carvings, handicrafts, textiles, paintings, and jewelry. You can also find some of the best art museums in the country here. Enjoy the sunset while strolling the “Campuhan Ridge Walk”.

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast and checkout, your driver will take you to Munduk. First you will go to the Taman Ayun Royal Temple, one of the most beautiful and impressive temples in Bali, known for its multi-story roofs. Your next destination is the Jatiluwih rice terraces. This UNSECO World Heritage Site is a kind of living museum that shows the traditional agriculture of Bali. Through intelligent land use and traditional irrigation systems, the local farmers have created picture book-like rice terraces on the steep slopes. Then you go through a small piece of rainforest to the Batukaru Temple. Then your driver will take you to your hotel in Munduk.

After breakfast you will be picked up by your driver in Ubud and headed towards Lake Buyan. On today’s day tour you will discover the beautiful nature around Munduk. After arriving at Tamblingan Lake, you will walk through the jungle from Tamblingan to Tamblingan Lake. After arriving at the lake, you will cross the lake in a traditional “dugout” canoe. After the crossing, your driver continues in around 30 minutes north to the starting point for the Sekumpul and Lemukih waterfalls, two of the most impressive waterfalls in Bali. An easy hike takes you through clove, cocoa and other fruit plantations, small villages and rice fields in the direction of the two waterfalls where you can take a refreshing bath.

On the way you will visit the Buddhist monastery Bhrama Arama Vihara, from where you will have a beautiful view over the north coast of Bali. After that, visit the natural hot springs in Banjar. Then your driver will take you to the hotel in Lovina.

In the early morning you will go to Lovina Beach, where you will take a small boat out to sea. A traditional wooden boat is used to search for dolphins, which can be spotted here quite often in the morning. Then your guide will take you to a beautiful snorkeling spot off the coast of Lovina, where you can explore the Utner water world while snorkeling.

Note: Most dolphin tours in Lovina start at sunrise. At this time there are far too many boats on the way – so our tours start a little later when the other boats are already on their way back.

Today after breakfast we go to Sambangan on a waterfall tour – duration approx. 3-4 hours. Sambandan is known for the Aling-Aling waterfall – a sacred waterfall in the middle of northern Bali’s nature. Today’s hike first goes through rice fields and the beautiful nature in Sambangan to the “Blue Lagoon” – a natural swimming pool, where you can cool off and bathe in the fresh water. Then we continue on foot to the highest waterfall – the Aling-Aling waterfall. You are not allowed to swim here, but the view and the background noise of the waterfall are unique. The last stop of the day are the 3 smaller waterfalls Kroya, Kembar and Pucuk. Here you can slide down the waterfall on a natural slide, jump from different heights or just relax in the water and enjoy nature. You will then have a small local lunch before heading back to your Lovina hotel.

Pick up from your hotel by JED’s driver and guide in your air conditioned vehicle. Enjoy the lush tropical scenery as you head up the road to Pelaga. Arrive at Pelaga and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of organic Pelaga coffee with some local delicacies. At the bale subak (village meeting hall) you will meet some of the village elders and have an opportunity to learn about daily life in Pelaga and the history of coffee growing in the area. A trek around Pelaga will provide an opportunity to enjoy some of the scenery, as well as to see how the Pelaga coffee beans are cultivated and picked. Lunch provides another opportunity to taste some more of Pelaga’s local produce. Afterward your driver will be driven you to Hotel in Amed.

Your driver will pick you up at the hotel at 1:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. for a midnight hike on Gunung Batur. Led by your guide and your flashlight, you will climb the 1717 meter high active volcano in time for sunrise. The view of the crater lake and the surrounding volcanoes, slowly illuminated by the rising sun, is a highlight not to be missed. After sunrise you will have a small breakfast before you head back to the foot of the mountain. On the way back, relax in a warm bath at natural hot springs. Then your driver will take you back to your hotel in Amed.

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast and checkout, your driver will continue to East Bali in the small village of Sidemen. You will walk through the beautiful landscape of East Bali to the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, which was built in the early 20th century by the last king of the Karangasem. Then you go to the village of Kusamba, a fishing village where you can watch the traditional process of sea salt extraction. Then visit Kertha Gosa in Klungkung. At that time this building was the Royal Court of Kertagosa. The highlight here is the lavishly decorated ceiling, which is painted with the traditional “wayang” style and shows the “good versus evil”.

Then it’s off to your hotel in Sidemen.

After breakfast, a member of staff from the Green Kitchen cooking school will pick you up at your hotel. First, visit the local market in Klungkung, where you can buy fresh herbs, spices, vegetables and meat. Then it goes to the cooking school, where you can harvest fresh vegetables in your own garden. Your hosts will show you how to prepare authentic Balinese dishes before enjoying your own creation. (Vegetarian option is possible)

After breakfast and go to the Telaga Waja River for white water rafting. The exciting adventure of Telaga Waja begins at the foot of the holy Mount Agung, after a brief introduction by your guide it starts: An ideal combination of nature and adventure awaits you on this tour: With the rubber dinghy you go downriver through rapid rapids and calm passages where you can enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful, tropical landscape. The drive takes you past green valleys, traditional villages, waterfalls and beautiful rice terraces.

After check-out, transfer to harbor in Serangan for your fastboat to Gili Gede Island. (Check-in 10 a.m. – departure 10:30 a.m. – travel time 2 hours). Gili Gede/Gili Asahan is located in the southwest of Bali’s neighboring island Lombok and is part of the “Secret Gilis” (Gili means island in Indonesian). Compared to the three Gili Islands in the north of Lombok (Gili Air, Meno and Trawangan), the Gilis in the south of Lombok are still very quiet and not so touristy.

After breakfast, a small private outrigger boat takes you to the most beautiful snorkeling spots around the Secret Gilis. The first stop is Gili Rengit Island. On the way you will see the traditional “Bagan” houses, which are used by the local fishermen for night fishing. Upon arrival at Gili Rengit, you can snorkel or relax on the beach. The next stop are the islands of Gili Goleng and Gili Layar – two small islands with great underwater world and beaches. At noon it goes back to Gili Asahan / Gede by boat.
