Breakfast in the hotel. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon you go with your driver to the south of Bali to the famous “Pura Uluwatu”. The temple (Pura) was built on the edge (Ulu) of a 70 meter high cliff (Watu) that protrudes into the sea. From this temple complex you have a wonderful view over the south coast of Bali.

The temple is inhabited by cheeky monkeys, notorious for stealing open food from visitors. It is best to leave your backpack in the car and if a monkey comes too close to you, a suggested throwing motion will usually help to scare the monkey away. In the evening you will attend a dance performance (“Kecak”) based on the Ramayana Ballet, performed daily at the Uluwatu Temple on the cliff. In the background of the dance performance you can marvel at the sunset. After the performance, your driver will be taken back to your hotel.

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast and checkout, your driver will take you to Ubud. On the way you will visit Tegenungan Waterfall and the Goa Gaja Temple which is also known as the Cave Temple. Continue to the Monkey Forrest, where you can watch the cheeky monkeys play in the trees. Take care of your valuables, the monkeys are very smart and know exactly how to open a backpack! Then your driver will take you to your hotel in Ubud. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Ubud is the cultural hub of Bali in many ways. You can take a walking tour to visit the majestic palace in central Ubud. The communities around Ubud specialize in handicrafts and wood carvings, which are sold across the island. There are hundreds of shops in Ubud selling antiques, wood carvings, handicrafts, textiles, paintings, and jewelry. You can also find some of the best art museums in the country here. Enjoy the sunset while strolling the “Campuhan Ridge Walk”.

After breakfast at the hotel, go to the Ayung River for white water rafting. An ideal combination of nature and adventure awaits you on this tour: The rubber dinghy takes you downriver through rapid rapids and quiet passages where you can enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful, tropical landscape. The drive takes you past green valleys, traditional villages, waterfalls and beautiful rice terraces. The white water rafting ends in Karangdalam, where you can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch with a breathtaking view.

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel for today’s cooking class. First, visit the local market in Ubud, where you can buy fresh herbs, spices, vegetables and meat. After arriving at the cooking school there will be a coffee or tea and then you will visit your own small organic farm, where you will learn more about the ingredients and also harvest vegetables for cooking. Then, under the guidance of the chefs, you will learn how to prepare delicious Balinese dishes, which you can of course also taste afterwards. The cooking class ends around 2 p.m.

In the morning you will be picked up at the hotel for a spiritual temple tour, which we offer together with a local institution that supports disadvantaged children. First you visit the Goa Gaja Temple which is also known as the Cave Temple. Then create a “canang”, a traditional offering, which you then bring to the temple to ask the gods for permission to enter the temple. We continue to the Tirta Empul water temple, where the Hindus “purify” themselves in the holy water. Then it’s back to our partner institution, where you will be served a traditional lunch and get to know the children of the institution.

Note: Remember to bring a change of clothes and a towel. You will get wet during the cleansing ritual in the Tirta Empul water temple

After breakfast you will be picked up for today’s snorkeling tour. The Gili Islands, off the coast of North Lombok, Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno are known for their beautiful underwater world and the turtles.

Today you go on a snorkeling tour with your private boat and guide to explore the best snorkeling spots around the three islands. The course of the snorkeling tour is completely flexible: you can snorkel continuously or explore the beaches of the other Gili Islands with a short break.
